Re: Poll of TCH Issues
I've got 4400 miles, and so far I've been very pleased with the TCH. The only 3 issues I've have are the console squeak (fixed), auto recirc mode (to be changed by dealer), and a rattle/loose drivers window (if the window is half way down, it rattles when the door is shut; no noise/rattle if the window is up)
All in all I am quite happy with how well the car drives, the fit and finish, and comfort.
A few folks have posted about cracked windshields. I do wonder if the TCH windshield is more prone to cracking. I think I'll be changing my insurance deductable just in case.

It may only be in some states but here in Florida as long as you have full coverage the winshield is a free repair if cracked or damaged.

From what I've read, the Georgetown plant won't start producing Camry Hybrids until October sometime.

Re: Poll of TCH Issues
After 2400 miles, the only issue is an occasional rattle sound where the top of the drivers window meets the door frame. Other than that we love the car. Big change from our 91 Camry

OK Just got back, took them 15 min to get me in and out and what ever this "jumper" is fixed the Sirius. They did not have a Toyota part number as they said it was a part supplied by Sirius. Unfortunatley they lost all my presets again! Music and talk is now cyrstal clear. After 5 weeks I can start enjoying my TCH JBL! I will say that overall I beleive the Sat radio interface in the TCH is not that great, they waste the first 2 characters in the dispaly and there is never enough pertinent info that I can use in the display. Also as for Sirous vs. XM I came form 2+ years of XM integrated in my TL, I loved it. I can't speak directly for content yet as I have not listend much yet due to the bug, but there is some music I think Sirus does better and some XM does. I think for Jazz/Fusion catagories XM is far better, Techno/Dance I have to say the edge probaly goes to XM, as for Rock, Alternative and New Wave styles I say Siriius has beeter variety and content. Talk, well as an ex-NYer all I can say is HOWARD!. Int he end with XM locking up more and more car makers it seems that this will proabbly be my first and last car with an integrated Sirius. I am not a big fan of add ons, but I have seen some exceptional installs done in both my old TL and the TCH. Assuming I get NAV in next car I will stay with whichever is integrated because I love all the info available on the screen, if i don;t get NAV I may just opt for a Sirius add-on.

Why not have both? I do! I have intergrated XM in my JBL and I am using my AUX jack for Sirius

Re: Poll of TCH Issues
KluKen,
GREAT TO HEAR!
I know my service MGR will be lost if I tell him he needs a jumper from Sirius. Would you mind letting me know the name of the Toyota Dealership you used in Atlanta, the guys name you dealt with and I'll ask my service Mgr to call him and figure things out. You can post here or PM me if you don't want to drop names.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Poll of TCH Issues
I called Sirius about a jumper, they had no clue what I was talking about and told me to disconnect my battery and they will send another signal. I called agian so I could speak to another person about it, they told me it was the factory radio and to bring it in for warranty.
Didn't you say Toyota replaced you radio at one time?
Yeah, I feel like I am doing all the run around and problem solving for my dealership on this issue. I waited 5 days for them to get back with me on a fix and all he had to comment on ( after I called him back to see what was up) was the FJ Cruiser fax I sent him. I don't think any research was even done on his part this week. So yeah, not to beat a dead horse but if I could get the name of the guy who worked this jumper out with you and his dealship.... thanks.

Toyota replaced the tuner at first, but that did NOT fix it. Then they talked to their district Sirius guy who told them about this jumper. The Toyota dealer has been dealing with the district Sirius guy, but the Toyota dealer is doing the work. Took them less than 15 min to do this jumper and it fixed the problem. Have your Toyota dealer escalate, it is a know bug with 07 Camry and Solaras. I will see what I can learn on my end.
