"IIRC, the car can be on in accessory mode, which will render the "Ready" light off _AND_ the power light off."

But then the power light is amber, if IRC...

I have to check.
But for argument's sake, let's say you are correct.

Now I have to remember that sometimes when the car is off, the light is on, and sometimes when it is on, the light is off...

arghh!!!
