after reading ALL posts on various sites, i put a deposit on a blue ribbon hybid, no leather, moonroof, etc, just the way i wanted it
no word when i will be getting car, they will check around and let me know
im so excited!

Congrads... you'll love it once it arrives.

It really is an awesome color... I was convinced that my next car would be the dark gray color... until I saw the blue ribbon in person... I changed my mind instantly.

FYI for the "Band of Blue Ribbon" Owners - attached are pics of the color keyed mud guards in Blue Ribbon Metallic purchased from TRD Parts 4 U.com (Toyota of Dallas) http://www.trdparts4u.com/MC-CDCE-DA.aspx - note great experience with this vendor - I'd recommend. Also, you need to buy Front & Rear separately.

As my local NJ dealer had already drilled the holes to put on the unpainted Black mud guards (which I had him remove) I was able to install myself easily. If not drilled the Rear Tire would need to be removed or an angled drill set would be needed.

I have also bought the color keyed mud guards from this vendor.... I also can highly recommend them.

Dan - the Mud Guards require drilling in front and rear (the rear requires taking the tire off or using an angled drill bit if you have one). A mix-up with my dealer enabled me to get the holes drilled (I thought the dealer ordered the color-keyed, which he didn't & put on the standard black which I thought looked terrible so he took them off & didn't charge me for labor).

I'd ask the dealer to drill the holes gratis (for customer satisfaction as well as avoid ~$65/hour labor rate) then put them on yourself.

The rear is a bit tricky even with the hole drilled as you need either a really short screwdriver or a long necked screwdriver to get torque at an angle.

Definately worth the trouble. Good Luck with your new TCH.
