I'll be getting the NAV 7.1 update when my order arrives at the dealer. I'll be testing this operation first thing, and let you know if the update changes anything.

Mine has always done that since day one (always reverting to the map after a call). I have seen other posts about that in this forum - many others have experienced it. It seems to be "normal" although certainly not sensible.
