All smart keys are (also) wireless remotes but not all wireless remotes are smart keys.

Works every time.

My FOB does not have a sunroof button. In the "TCH info" thread, another user reported that the TCH does not support the wireless/open feature. Maybe it would if I had a FOB with a sunroof button like you describe.

Re: Smart Key question, please
Hey Chris--skata was just making a joke. He was saying to push the actual sunroof button inside the car with the fob instead of your finger.

Re: Smart Key question, please
I asked the dealer today to program one fob to unlock all doors when I grasp the driver's door handle, and they also said it could not be done. So it looks like I'm going to have to do it myself. I knew I had read here that it could be done, so I was annoyed with the dealer's response. You can be sure that after I get it to work, I will be back there to let them know!

We both have advanced degrees but were reading the manual wrong, but we don't feel so stupid since our Toyota Guy said it couldn't be done. Thank you all and thank you GreenHybrid!

It can be done. That is how I programmed mine. But more specifically, if you grab either driver _or_ passenger door handle, all 4 doors unlock. And I think it is not fob specific, but that part I am not sure about. But I suspect if either fob is in the scan range of the car, it will unlock all 4 doors upon touch of either door handle.

It involves pressing two buttons simultaneously on ANY FOB and the car answers back with a series of beeps indicating which mode it changed to. It's documented in the regular owner's manual.
It is definitely NOT FOB specific.
I have 3 FOBS (no, the car did not come with three automatically) and I reprogrammed the car using only one of the FOBS and now all the doors open simultaneously when I touch the driver's side handle regardless of which FOB is in my pocket.

For those who are "Owner's Guide" challenged here is the procedure.
