Question Toyota 0W-20 at $5.92/qt???

Hi all,
I went to a Toyota Dealer this morning to buy some oil and filter to do my 10k oil change. I was kind of shocked to hear the person telling me that the price for 1 quart is $5.92. I asked her to check the price that I paid the last time I bought from them in June. And it was $4.57. When I asked her why is it so expensive now, she said price of motor oil has gone up across the board. After that she sold them to me for $4.65/qt, I think because I bought 13 quarts, enough for 3 oil changes.

Has anyone heard about the price increase for motor oil? Or has anyone bought oil from Toyota recently?

Anyway, just wanted to share my encouter.

I also paid a little less than $5 per quart for 0w-20 toyota synthetic oil a couple months ago.

Here below is the ATT web page. Choose, To Find a business by name:
Type in toyota, press enter. The results shows 25 pages of toyota dealers many with toll free phone numbers. You can also search by city, state or the whole nation. Call any dealer and ask for parts. This also comes in handy when looking for a new car or questions your local dealer can't answer.
