Would you, or someone else who might find it, get a part number the next time you see this oil in a dealership, please? The effort would benefit many others on here as well as me.

Steve: I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to get the oil and a filter for my first oil change. I will post the Toyota part number sometime tomorrow. I just checked the quoted price. It is $4.54, not $4.45 as first noted. Still about $1 cheaper/qt. than Mobil 1 at Walmart.

It might be that either it is a Mobil blend (not 100% fully synthetic) or it is not Mobil 1 brand. But if it is, then it is a great price and a bit more expensive than the 5qt sold in Wal-Mart 100% Mobil 1 fully synthetic less than $22.

The qt. container says that it is 'full synthetic'. Part number posted tomorrow. My Walmart does not sell Mobil 1 0W-20 (or 5W-20) in the 5 qt container. If your's does, would you post the part number.

No, you are right I forgot to mention the 5qt is only 5W-30 or 10W-30 or 15W-40 (not sure for that) at Wall-Mart.

There is something wrong with the DB and I could not edit my last post...

Anyways, the 100% fully synthetic Mobil 1 0W/5W-20 is around $5.65 less than $6.00/qt at Wall-Mart. The reason I mentioned the 5qt (5W-30) was that I put it in my 2006 Sienna and it is the Super Syn (50% more synthetic than the Mobil 1 fully synthetic) and it is quite expensive $27.52/5qt (5W-30) versus the regular 100% fully synthetic less than $22/5qt (5W-30).

Yes, unfortunatelly from what I know Mobil does not have the 0W/5W-20 in 5qt containers as of yet... hope soon will be available.

Steve: The Toyota 0W-20 full synthetic oil part number is 00920-1QT0W-01. If you dicker with your dealers' parts department, you should pay no more than $4.50/qt.(list price is $6.36). My dealer is recommending full synthetic 0W-20 oil changes to owners of all 2007 Camrys at a cost of $49.99 including Toyota filter. If you change your own oil, the 0W-20 oil and toyota filter should cost less than $25/change. Hope this helps.

That is GREAT information. Thanks, I will let the dumba$$ parts department at Mossy and elsewhere know. No doubt, many of us here will similarly appreciate the useful info on this 'mystery' oil.

So question -- now that we seem to have gotten the oil issue handled, is the Toyota filter any better/worse then other 3rd party oil filters? It seems that the Mobile M1 oil filter seems to be a the preferred filter in general. I'm looking to do my own oil/filter changes and would like to know your opinion on quality since the TCH is our only car.

Thanks to all!

If you can get 100% fully synthetic Mobil 1 0W-20 at $4.50/qt it is a DEAL, even cheaper by around a $1 than my local Wal-Mart SuperCenter. Today I found out at my local toyota dealer parts had the same oil close to or over $7/qt.
