Meh... It will probably work OK but sounds like a "scotch tape and bailing wire" fix to me. I think they should still replace all the CTS pedals eventually as time and production permit.

Un-believable!

This reminds me so much of the BS surrounding the sun shades, just on a much larger scale.

HA! Looks like they are re-think their "Moving Forward" tag line too.

While the TCH is not involved in the current accelerator pedal recall, Toyota's web site is a very good source of information and news related to all of their products.

Camry/Corolla/RAV4/Highlander:
Highlander Hybrids and Camry Hybrids are not involved in the sticking accelerator pedal recall and will remain for sale. Further, Camry, RAV4, Corolla and Highlander vehicles with VINs that begin with "J" are not involved in the sticking accelerator pedal recall and will remain for sale.

RAV4 is not impacted by the floor mat recall.
