Prices of gas are going down... was this article written before or after the elections?

Gas prices in my area have gone up 13 to 15 cents since the election.

I track and record gas prices whenever I fill up. If you look historically, the price of gas always seems to drop until November or December and then begins to increase. The increase this year has already started a month earlier and the price is greater than last year.

Many may have short memories, but we will see over $3.00/gallon gas next year.

Even at today's prices, my TCH will pay for itself in less than 2 years not 10 to 12 years.

Last year at this time I paid $1.89 a gallon. The station I often fill up at is at $2.59 today

$3.00 a gallon may be a fond memory by summer

Last year? I think we were still recovering from Katrina and gas was well into the upper two dollar range.

Unless US Gulf Coasts hit by major hurricanes in 2007, oil and gasoline prices are not expected to rise significantly beyond current levels. In fact, the long range forecast on costs of a barrel of oil are steady to down over the next 8 yrs.

The U.S. Energy Department on Tuesday released its annual long-term world energy forecast. The agency predicted that the price of oil, when adjusted for inflation, would decline between 2007 and 2015 as investments made in recent years of historically high prices bring new supplies to the market.

I just filled up for $2.089/gal, my last tank was $2.159/gal. Seems that prices are just bouncing up and down based on supply-vs-demand and not much political influence. If there is a big swing that sticks a while I would blame a political action, but right now it looks stable.

I do feel that the price will hit $3.00 in less than a year. I hope it does not, but I bet it will.

I maybe going off topic here, but I would much rather have your gas price. Here in Los Angeles when I filled up with the 'cheap stuff' stuff last night, the price was ranging from $2.49 to $2.63 depending on the station and the area. About a 10 cent difference from when I last filled up ohh about 2 and half weeks ago. So I guess I really can't compalin about a few cents more every few weeks.

I gave it a half star rating - and wrote a note to Mr. Jones.

Regards,
