Default What kind of lease payments are you guys making?

Considering a lease so I'm curious what everyone is paying for a lease payment. Most interested in the 36/mo w/12k miles per year and no money down but would like to get as much comparison on different options so feel free to post all since I couldn't find a lease specific thread. Just post what your term, miles, down payment (cash or trade) as well as anything else that might affect the terms.

Thanks

I don't know if anyone else here is leasing, but I am not. If you lease you are not eligible for the tax credit. I plan to drive my TCH until it ceases to function, so leasing wouldn't make sense for me.

Thanks you SO much for the info. In all my considerations that was one that I completely overlooked.

Do you have to buy new to get the tax credit?

No need to get into an argument over this as I do whatever my financial advisor says at that time. I'll talk to him about the tax credit vs. the lease write-off and see what he says. Then again I might just say eff it and go buy one unless I can't find one. I might wait until the 'craze' dies down a little so I can get one at invoice less hold back at a local Toyo dealer that I'm in good with.

I currently lease an '06 Tundra and all my other vehicles are paid off. I recently sold a few of my vehicles and at this point am trying to become more economical in my vehicle inventory by narrowing it down. I lease when it makes sense financially and don't do it to get into a vehicle I can't afford as some do so my reasons aren't the same as yours based on your post.

Yes. And if you lease, the leasing company claims the credit. Please see the following link: http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/...157632,00.html

Judging from the experience Prius buyers have, that may well be a very long wait (especially if you hope to buy at invoice).
