Capable but not ready. The TCH comes standard with the JBL AM/FM 6-Disc In-Dash CD Changer with Satellite Radio Capability, MP3/WMA Playback Capability, Hands-free Phone Capability via Bluetooth Wireless Technology.

If you upgrade to nav you will get a Voice-Activated DVD Navigation System w/JBL AM/FM 4-Disc In-Dash CD Changer w/Satellite Radio Capability, MP3/WMA Playback Capability, Aux Audio Jack, Hands-Free Phone Capability via Bluetooth Wireless Technology and FM Diversity Reception.

Three things are required to have functioning satellite radio:

(1) a car radio with satellite capability (this means the radio has input jacks for satelllite radio cables in the rear [inside dash], will display channel info on the radio screen, and will control the satellite radio with the regular radio controls)

(2) a satellite radio receiver and antenna (specify XM or Sirius - they are different). The receiver is hidden behind the radio in the dash or sometimes in the trunk. The antenna is small and mounted in different locations depending on whether Toyota or after-market and whether XM or Sirius. The Toyota XM satellite radio receiver/antenna package is option P7, the Sirius is option P2. Both have MSRP of $449 installed. Can be installed port or dealer.

(3) subscription to a satellite radio service (XM or Sirius). About $12 per month.

Mine came with a Sirius radio as part of Nav system; the antenna mounted inside the windshield behind rear view mirror; and a 6 months subscription as part of car purchase. Works fine with very occasional cutoffs of signal when going thru tunnels or heavily treed areas with tree limbs overhanging the street. Mine came from the factory with the option already installed. If I extend before 6 months is up, I can get a $9.95/mo pkg with a commitment to 1 yr or more.

Was the Sat Radio on your window sticker or part of your negotiated deal with the dealer?

It was part of the NAV system; no other entries on sticker - either factory or dealer. And the radio instructions had all the info for the sat radio in the separate NAV system manual.

Did you just pick one over the other or could you have both if you subscribed?

It just had the radio already installed. I wasn't given the option of picking one or the other and never even thought to inquire about it anyway.
