Dim display in 03 HCH - GreenHybrid

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this one. Has anyone had a display that's lost it's brightness? I couldn't find a knob to turn the display brighter like the other honda's I have. Am I missing it somehow?

My '03 HCH allows tuning of the brightness by simply twisting the button used to switch/reset the trip meters. It remembers settings independently for headlights on/off also.
