Default Electric Shock when leaving

Hey Guys,

I own a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid and I was wondering if anyone else was getting shocked after they leave their car. It's just a little static shock, but I'm always afraid of touching my door because of it. Hehehe. If anyone has the same problem, please tell me and if you know what is wrong or if their is a way to fix it, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott

I haven't been getting shocked from my car, but from a lot of other metals in the past week or so. I think it is just the dry air. It will go away.

Thanks for the replies.

I've driven to Kansas and live in Chicago. When I leave my car, every time it shocks me. I hope it is the weather, but could there be another explanation for it?

also, please be careful when getting gas!

Wow... perfect! That was a good link. I'll try some of those gems out when I drive tomorrow.

I've gotten lots of shocks when getting out of my old car (an Oldsmobile); not so many with the HCH yet. I'm going to try to remember the hints given in the above links; the first link seems very helpful. Thanks!

Hey. Have you been trying those? If so, which ones have been working for you?
