What do you think? I think she is totaled, for sure. Pisses me off, we just put a new bumblebee battery in it 3 months or so ago. Wife is fine, walked away, even though the impact was hard enough to break the back of her seat.

That car is totaled and do not be surprised if your wife's back and/or neck start hurting today, since minor back strains from that sort of crash seem to take a day or two to set in.

 

Thought I'd come back in and report the results.

Totaled without a doubt. Frame is "compressed" all the way forward. All 4 doors open, but with difficulty. Engine mounts are broken as well.

The insurance company really surprised us with their valuation and offer. Honestly I was expecting between $4000-$5000 settlement. We supplied them with copies of the amount spent on the car in the last year, and they considered that, along with the absolutely immaculate condition of the car. 10 years old and not a single door ding! We had also had an aftermarket leather interior added when we first purchased the car.

So, anyway, they considered all that and are offering us $7650 for the car.

Their assessor included in that offer almost a 100% reimbursement for the Bumblebee battery that we installed in April. Without that, he would have offered around $5600 for the car.

 

I'll pay your wife $500 if she'll do the same to my HCH.
