Note, my IMA light came on at 93k but went off quickly after and has yet to come back on. Not an overly exciting video, but hopefully will be of some interest to you hch i owners.

Good job Jeff! You know you're a hybrid driver when...
Driving in the rain at 55-60 MPH behind what appears to be a bus, with an empty gas tank and you're taking video of your hybrid turning 100K.
Priceless!
I'm coming up on 210K on my '03 HCH 5Spd. Good luck with you next 100K!

Yeah, I was looking at the gauges in your video, noticed no bars on the gas gauge, and thought...this car's running on fumes!
It looks like your car's doing well. Congrats.

Thank you. 210K on your 03!!! Wow, are you on the original battery? I'll run naked through my neighborhood if I can get to 200k on my original battery.
Yes it's the original battery pack but the CEL and IMA lights have been on solid since about 175K miles. The car runs fine and the IMA system works ok most of the time (for now at least). The codes I pull are a P1600 and a P1449. My understanding is the P1600 just points to an IMA system problem and the P1449 is a multi-use code which is most likely caused by a +/- 2V deviation between cells in the pack.
As of now I am going to drive it through the winter, or until it strands me, and probably try hybrid-battery-repair.com in the spring.
I never beat the snot out of my Civic but I never really babied it either. When I had a good sized hill to tackle I would (and still do) just drop it into 3rd and power up the hill. The point being that I never hesitated to drain the battery to zero and let it charge quickly going down the other side. I have every reason to believe if I would have taken it easier and kept the battery within a narrower SOC range (like my new Insight does on it's own) I would have gotten 200K+ miles without any problem.
So if you take it easy on the IMA system I see no reason to believe you won't be spending the night in police lockup, naked, some day soon.

Am I on my original battery? Yes, but..

This suction mount would have made shooting that so much safer! Kudos on the long battery life!
