Default Re: 2006 Tax Credit

While I was expecting my HCHII before Dec 31st, I'd researched the tax credit. Due to the blizzards and horrible Colorado weather, I was not able to physically take delivery of my hybrid until the 10th of Jan of this year. I now have to wait until 2007's taxes to claim the credit; however, I also continue to have a feeling that Honda will not sell 60,000 units to make the credit go down per the IRS quarterly drop based on sales. As I'm single and have an income that is truely more average, as most Americans have, my research and paperwork expects the full credit available. I feel the year purchased, though, should not make a play on when you can claim the credit...the law says the vehicle just has to be purchased between the end of 2005 and 2010.

Yeah, we have a duplicate conversation going under the Honda Civic Hybrid forums. Under the 2006 tax form.
