Default 20k or 30k mile checkup

Has anyone had there 20k or 30k mile check up, if so how long did it take and how much did it cost?
I am approaching 26k and did not get the 20k mile checkup. I have changed oil when needed and changed my air filter, which I must say was absolutly disgusting. I could not believe how dirty it was.
My 2006 civic will be 1 year old May first.
Apriciate any info.

I recently replaced my air filter too after owning the car for about a year and it was VERRRRY Dirty. You could also check your cabin filter and see if that needs replacing. I plan to do so soon and if anyone knows of any write-up please post

Thanks,

I am taking my car in this afternoon for a B 123 maintenance minder service. B= oil and filter change and a bunch of inspects & Checks. 1= a tire rotation. 2=air filter(did that on my own). And 3=transmission fluid drain and fill. The service person asked me how many miles I had on the car and I told him approx 32-33k miles. Then he says well you should do your 30k mile maintenance and I asked how much it was. Over $350!! I said no thanks, I will just do what the maintenance minder wants me to do and I will do all the checks and inspects myself. The only real difference in what the 30k service and the services I am getting done today are the inspections of the hoses, belts, brakes, etc. I can do that myself thankyou very much!! The services I am getting done today at the dealer will be around $150 total.

Took my 06 in for service yesterday. 33k miles on it so far.

30k mile service $300 replaced brake fluid and transmission fluid as well as several other things. Tranny fluid change is very important as I learned from my 04.

$60 to replace cabin filter

$180 replace front brakes

$60 front and rear alignment

$300 replace all tires with Dunlop SP31A

Total $900

30K and you needed front brakes already? That seems abysmally low mileage for any hybrid. Most of my "regular" cars have gone 50K or more before needing brakes.

Had the " B1" service yesterday plus did a much needed four wheel alignment. Total was 180.

I have had the car for slightly over one year and am at about 16,500 miles. This is the first money I have spent as the first three oil changes are free where I purchased. ( This B1 included the second oil change which was free- the alignment at 89.95 was expensive but much needed)

Brake pads are at 90% on the front and 75% on the rear. ( I think 7 and 6 MM left)

.

Stop and Go traffic on the freeways here really takes its toll on the brakes. Luckily the rear brakes are still at 100%.

Um, yeah. Front brakes replaced at 30k and rears at 100% sounds pretty wacky -- like your rear brakes aren't doing any braking and thus wearing out your fronts quicker. Might wanna have that checked.

I don't believe the rear brakes are intended to work that much anyway since the regenerative charging is contained in the rear axle which in turn helps the car slow down as well as recharge the battery.

Default Re: 20k or 30k mile checkup - Regenerative Braking

Regenerative charging / braking is in the rear axle?

I don't think so. The electric motor used for both accelerating and regenerative braking is built into the engine - connected to the front wheels only.
