Default Adding Audio Amplifiers and Subwoofer

Dear All,

I am from the Far East, and contemplating buying the HCH II.

If I get the ride, I would want to add amplifiers and a subwoofer to enhance the audio system.

Is the installation method for the HCH the same vis-a-vis its non-hybrid counterparts, or is there any special precaution needed? Besides, is the compartment at the battery fully sealed, rendering installation of subwoofer in the trunk not possible (not able to run cable through)?

As amplifiers consume lots of energy, will this weaken the 12V battery (in view of its constant engine auto-off activation), or cause the engine auto-stop function to cease working?

Any other pitfalls I should pay particular attention to before installing them?

Thank you in advance.

I just use the stock equipment but I think Tom has a nice setup in his HCH-1.
You might want to PM him, he's a nice guy and will help you with your questions.

I have a Sat nav computer DVD Stacker and power inverter alal in the boot (trunk)
you can pass the leads easily through the left hand side of the car without removing the seat.

i havent changed the head unit or speakers its standard but i have added a monitor Tuner, DVD stacker, and Sat nav,and have utilised the aux input.
