Default Almost 6 Years

Hey, all. It looks like a lot of you have moved on either from this site or different vehicles. Here was my last post on my ~3 year anniversary with the car:

https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...versary-27346/

I'm now ~3 months shy of my 6 year anniversary and about ~2900 miles shy of 100K. I had my IMA replaced at ~58,000 miles and thus far have put ~39,000 miles on the second battery. Judging by my personal mileage logs the second battery is performing much better and my driving has improved. I don't think it's an either/or situation; I've really learned to drive this car better. Also, now that I've had a lot more miles with the 2nd battery and programming, I can definitely say it was for the better.

Before I would have been okay with 42 mpg tanks (hand-calculated, of course). Now I routinely hit 50 and usually expect the computer readout to be 48 or above. Over the past 18,000 miles I've been working on getting my Trip B odometer to hit the 50 mark (currently stuck at 49.6).

My last maintenance visit (and most expensive so far, including tires), was to get the valve adjustment, spark plugs & 12V battery replaced, cooling system drain, oil change & tire rotation. I did this all at the same dealership I've dealt with and the price seems reasonable considering the car has been pretty cheap to maintain and has been relatively trouble-free (even the IMA replacement was easy). I am also on my second set of Goodyear FuelMax tires (first set lasted ~46.5K miles so I was prorated on the second set). I had also been set to have them replace the brake pads but they called me back and said that it wasn't necessary as I still had 6mm in the front.

Since the car was at the shop for the whole day I was given a loaded '13 Accord V6 loaner. It was a pretty sweet ride and the Monroney sticker mileage seemed reasonable for something so large. I'm not thinking of trading in my car (I'll probably drive it till it falls apart), but I did love the LaneWatch feature. Bluetooth would be nice (I have non-nav), as well as a backup camera. But otherwise my car still suits my needs perfectly: great, trouble-free commuter car. I'm in the Bay Area, CA so it's pretty unusual for me to go a day without seeing a fellow HCH driver. Anyone else still driving theirs?
