Default CEL/Battery/IMA light - Motor Rotation Sensor Issue

Just had this happen to our '06 HCH-II with 30k on the odometer. Did a little research here on the forum to come to the conclusion that it was the rotation sensor others have had problems with. Car goes to the shop monday to have the work done. I don't recall seeing any '06 cars with this problem in my search, just that it was a certain late '06 production '07s that had the issue.

Update here... Got car back with new sensor and three days go by no problems. Then out of the blue car doesn't want to start. Eventually starts on conventional starter with CEL/battery/IMA lights all on. Take car in and they keep it for a few days this time and come to the conclusion that now the $3k+ MCM (motor control module) needs to be replaced. Wait over weekend for part to ship and part was replaced today. Technician pulls car around to front of dealership (mileage down to a disgusting 38.8mpg), and drive car home. Hang around the house for a few hours then head back out, and AGAIN car doesn't start. All lights on again after starting with conventional starter.

On a side note, we had the car in for body damage a couple months back and had wondered for a while if they had the car in a paint booth above Honda's specified temperature for the HCH-II. If the battery was in fact the root of our problems, you would think that the dealer would have checked that first. I'm calling the dealer in the morning to bring the car back and will certainly mention the battery, but if the problem still doesn't get fixed I'm not sure what else to do after that

I had exactly the same issue. They replaced the rotation sensor and the MICU.

But that cured your problem. I still think it's the battery, but what do I know?
