Does this trans. use standard auto trans. fluid? Dexron -lll type ?

Honda does not recommend (if fact they advise against) using another AFT fluid. The Honda CVTF fluid was specifically formulated for our car and is matched to the pressure and lubrication requirements of the HCH-II CVT. Using another (non-approved) type would not only affect the shift quality but it may also affect the heat management, longevity of the solenoids, valves, belt and even the sensors.

Generally a bad idea to use anything else.

I thought the specs may be the same as auto trans.fluid. Thanks I'll take your advise and buy me a litr. from Honda.
