Default E3 Spark Plugs

Just changed plugs at 58K miles...car was idling poorly and am attempting to resolve low fuel mileage (avg 33-34).

While i haven't seen much of a millage jump (could be the constant recals thanks to the latest software update), but with new E3 plugs in the car now idles smoothly and it is much easier for me to keep the ice at around 1100 rpms with zero assist even when climbing gradual inclines that used to require assist.

Maybe the e3's helping out or just the fact that its got clean plugs in it again. I've always contested 100K miles is too far to go, even on iridium or platinum plugs.

Is anyone else using these plugs? Curious how the life expectancy will be with them, e3 has a 5 year warrentl I believe on them but the electrode seems like standard material...i'd be surprised if they last much past 30K miles.

How were your stock plugs looking? I pulled ours at 68K kilometers, they looked pristine, particularly after clean up with carb cleaner (you don't want to scrape them or re-gap). I re-installed them. The were half-and-half NGK and Denso, one of each per cylinder. Also, was there an E3 cross referenced plug? And did you retain the OEM plugs?

lol, sorry for the long delay in reply, been offline for awhile.

Stock plugs were looking ok, but definitely not pristine, i'll see if I can find them and post a picture of them if I still have them in the garage. I ran a can of BG44k at 30K miles and am overdue for my 60K can now. I'll have to pull one of these plugs out before and after my next 44k can as well for before and after references.

Yes, these are the cross referenced plugs that pulled up for the HCH on the E3 site and at the parts store.

We'll see how long these last, supposedly 5 year 100K miles warrenty, so they should last as long as iridium or platinum, but they look like they use a pretty standard electrode to me.
