Default Finally hit 50.0mpg lifetime!!!

It took me almost 11,000 miles to do it, but I finally overcame all of those bad tanks at the beginning before I knew how to hypermile. The engine breaking in and the warm summer weather helped too. I hope I am able to keep the lifetime over 50mpg for the rest of the car's life!

.

Commuter car, grocery getter, and summer road tripper--average 10k miles per year.

Winter road trips and ski trips, bad weather commuter and my wife's "daily" driver--expected average 4k miles per year.

Congratulations - it will keep getting better.

After 4 years of owning a hybrid my lifetime MPG is still going up.

Need fewer troops to support.
Drive a hybrid.
Best tank 71.65 MPG.

Before this car I spent two years learning hypermiling on my 2004 HCH1.

Cool! It might be hard to keep that with winter almost here, but, if you do lose it, you'll be able to get it back and then some when summer comes.
