Has anyone purchased the Aero Kit for the HCH? If so, how much did you pay for it and how do you like it?

The aero kit is the extra body cladding (deeper front airdam, side skirts, rear underbody spoiler, trunklid wing) that the dealer can install. Usually I can't stand bodykits, even from the manufacturer (including Honda) because they look like cheap addons. The 2k6 Civic's body kit isn't too bad. I actually sorta like it. I saw a 2k6 EX sedan a couple of weeks ago wearing the bodykit. Fairly sharp. I wouldn't get the big trunklid spoiler installed though if I wanted the kit, just the lower pieces.

Look at the car in the upper left hand corner in the link below. It has the bodykit installed.

Hi;

I think this page will take you right to the Prices for all the Pieces for the Aero-Kit:

Just add them together: Install price is more than likely going to match the price for the Aero-Kit or maybe more if Honda does the install for you.

A phone call to the Honda Service Department will confirm this install Labor Cost.

BTW; Just be aware when the Aero-Kit is on the car you cannot mount the Front Full Mask or the Mud-Guards.

Just don't think it would look right with the skinny 15" hybrid tires/wheels

Questions:

What do they weigh?
What do they cost?
What is the effect on MPG from drag plus weight?
Is it Green?
Will you negate the careful attention to detail of the undershields?

I assume Aero is short for aerodynamic.
Does it improve the aerodynamics of the car?

What is the coefficient of drag with the Aero kit?
Better or worse than without it?

If Honda really wanted to sell these, they would prove that they improve gas mileage in addition to improving looks. To me, the extra weight is not worth it and I doubt they improve Cd.
