Default HCH-II Most Wanted Feature Not Available

Since Katz6768 started a most liked hidden feature post, I thought a most wanted missing feature post would be useful as others may have found alternative solutions to some of these issues. So I will start off with my biggest wish list:

1. Bluetooth Hands free integration- If you have ever owned a car with an integrated BT phone system, you will know what I mean. This is absolutely one of the biggest safety features you can add to a vehicle. My solution was to buy and install the Parrot LS3200 kit. Which I got for $184.95 at Etronics...here http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=parck3200ls

2. Auto ON/OFF Headlights - I honestly had no idea that any car makers did not offer this by now. I did not even notice that the car did not have this until we first drove at night. I thought this was 15 year old technology!! If anybody knows of a kit to install this on Honda cars, I would love to know about it.

3. Better Ipod integration solution - The direct connection plug is nice, but still very crude and messy with wires all over the place. Why not give me mount solution with Ipod port connection instead of a crappy headphone jack! I need to charge and get line out audio (which also automatically gives me pause and auto off when I stop). I guess Honda tried with the music link, but I understand the system is severely lacking in usability. - My solution is either the Belkin Car Kit with custom 12Volt socket installation under the center console or the Ten Flexible Dock as I have not made my final decision yet. All suggestions welcome.

4. Sun Roof - Come on, what were you thinking!!! No solution for me.

My thoughts as an owner to be:

1.UK model needs sat-nav option
Tbh I don't understand why it doesn't already other than that Honda seem very disinterested in selling it in Europe. The only options we have are leather...or not leather.

2.Auto-start
I think this should take the handbrake into consideration. I know that in the US it's more commonly referred to as the parking brake and used as such but in the UK most drivers still use it when stationary in traffic. It seems anti-social, uncomfortable and a little wasteful to have to keep my foot on the brake.

On the plus side at least the UK model has a six-disc changer that supports MP3 and WMA. That negates the need for iPod support for me

What I'd really like to see is driver control over the Electric Modes (Charge/Assist).

This could be implemented in different ways. One could be a "dual" accelerator pedal: a smaller pedal for electric on top or on the side of the larger gas pedal. Or maybe a hand switch with 3 positions: left= Assist, centre= No electric and right= Charge.

I keep trying to get the HCH to remain on electric mode or to prevent it from charging when it doesn't make sense...

This type of control would allow real Hybrid-driving skills to be developed.

The ability to run on only the electric motor at lower speeds, such as when in slow stop and go traffic.

For what it is I think it's pretty well equiped. How 'bout a start button plus I was thinking lumbar adjustment, but the current seats aren't that bad. Some more color options? The long dash is OK but it makes it tough for judging curbs etc.

Since the IMA is controlled by software, I'd like to see some selectable "modes"; such as one that allows MORE electric assist, one that knows to drive with load on small hills and overpasses, a "RPM cruise control" that holds revs not speed. Or simply "hilly", "urban", "autobahn" etc. Peter

I think the keyless entry and push button start they offer on the Prius and Camry Hybrid are pretty cool.
