Thumbs up I decided to see if I still had it with City-Driving:

I decided to see if I still had it: And I do as the Pics will show.

I was thinking to myself yesterday and what the thought was, is this. I wonder what the FE/MPG would be if I watched how I drove on the way to work and picked my route accordingly. So I did just that today. I skipped the interstate and took the back roads and timed the lights (The-Best-I-Could) and drove as smooth as I could with very easy excelleration from stops. There were many stops and hills but I still wanted to see how things would work out. Also I did not change the HVAC Settings or (Turn-Off) the System. Temp. was set at 75 Degrees just like any other day. Also I did not (Coast) with (Engine-Off). No Tricks other than just watching how I drove. Major key was Very Light Excelleration and Driving-Smooth.

Well here is the results:

(1) Picture of HVAC set at 75-Degrees and todays Date & Time:

(2) Picture here is the MPG Gage:

So not bad for just driving the HCH II with No-Tricks:

52.4 MPG

Very good! You got to work in time I hope? All kidding aside those are good numbers for city driving. Not many of us can do that, so congrats. H

Thanks Harold for the Post.

I really wanted to let other owners see that it is very possible to get this kind of FE from the HCH II if they wanted to put out the "EFFORT".

As I said I set the Auto-Climate Control on 75 Deg. and never did any TRICKS while driving other than the way I said. Just easy take-offs and very smooth.

Nice going Tiger.

I presume this was a one way trip.

Try this sometime by completing the round trip for a truly meaningful result.
Delta elevation plays a big part in the results.

Hope you can match or even improve the trip results you showed us.

I agree with you on the (Round-Trip) thing but when I get off from work the TRAFFIC is PITIFUL so the test would not in this case work.

However I could simply drive over to work and then reset the gages and drive back to the house with the same amount of traffic as I see when going to work early in the morning.

Might just do that:

Actually I think I might be able to get even GREATER FE/MPG because the Hills then would be in my FAVOR.

YES, That was a 1-Way trip to Work early in the morning as the Pic shows on my Nav Screen.

Later,

Terry
