Default I loooooove this warm weather

I just got a 66.8 MPG tank.

http://www.greenhybrid.com/compare/m.../car/1900.html

That is only 0.2 less than my best last July.

Either the car is breaking in or I am still breaking in after three years (Happy Birthday To Me) of hypermiling.

I bought my first Hybrid April 2004.
What an amazing ride it has been.

I am more motivated and excited than ever about improving my MPG.
Call me nuts.
I don't care.

Need fewer troops to support.
Drive a hybrid.
Best tank 71.65 MPG.

Before this car I spent two years learning hypermiling on my 2004 HCH1.

Hey, Nuts

And just think - your BEST tank was at much warmer weather!
I predict you will get a NEW best tank this year!

Congrats.

Personally, the cold weather is killing me right now. I bought a HCH II a couple of weeks ago in Michigan, and for the first week of 70 degree weather I was getting about 38 mpg on short trips in town and 48-52 mpg on the highway. This past week it's been freezing and snowing here, and I've only been getting about 32 mpg on short trips around town. Hopefully once the weather warms up and I break the car in (there's only about 350 miles on it) I'll keep it in the 40-50mpg range in town. Still, it's pretty frustrating to see the average mpg drop every time I take it out for an errand.

Managed 60 mpg (all-time personal best) on last week's tank due to warmer weather and very little in-town driving. Then had a long cold & wet spell that ended this morning. Just filled up, got only 54.2 mpg.

I'll bet it was a rush to see the number up in the 60s.
No?

It is very addicting, especially if you have OCD like me.
