I'm buying an Aptera, I'll sell my hybrid
It's been nice.
I Love my HCH2 and I loved my HCH1 too.
I have one of the best lifetime averages here.
But I just put my name on the waiting list for the hybrid version of the Aptera, which can get up to 300 MPG.
http://www.aptera.com/
Delivery will be in a year or two.
Need fewer troops to support.
Drive a hybrid.
Best tank 71.65 MPG.
Before this car I spent two years learning hypermiling on my 2004 HCH1.

No car is all things to all people.
I always drive solo.
I never tow boats or drive in the mountains or in snow.
It's perfect for me.
I'd rather drive this than a motorcycle.
And up to 300 MPG make lots of compromises worth it.
If you don't like them don't buy one.
Many people will.

Wow, what a cool vehicle. I had not seen this before.
I would love to have one, but I can't decipher the pricing. They describe the "options" of plug-in hybrid version and full EV version...are those the actual prices? ($27k and $30k)?
Limited to CA, too....

Yes, for now they are starting them out only in California.
$27K for the all-electric, which has a shorter range.
$30K for the gas-electric hybrid.
Need fewer troops to support.

If anyone is planning on seeing the new Star Trek movie that is coming out next summer..(yes, I'm that nerdy)
Keep your eyes open for the Aptera making a cameo!
So it truly is the car of the future!
