Looking good! Notice any difference in fuel efficiency after installing them?

i had them installed with only 58 miles on the car, and right now i only have about 300. in addition at about 150 miles i had the under spoilers and fog lights installed and they unhooked my battery which reset my average MPGs. Either way, I am back up to 31.2 mpg, and it is still going up.

while it looks good. those tires alone are 25 pounds each. that is on top of the wheels. those wheels have to weigh north of 20 pounds each. i suggest you put your stocks back on or get something lightweight in 15s or 16s with a lightweight tire. it is going to be hard for you to even get 40 mpg with hypermilling.

i have been there and done that upsizing my wheels and tires. i had lightweight 17X8 oz superleggeras and 17X7 hfp wheels. they looked great, but the mpg loss was not worth it. i ended up getting stock 16X6.5 civic ex wheels instead before i traded in the hch ii.

Now you can paint your front disc brake callipers, fire engine red or yellow!

Although you're showing off your fronts, the exposure of the rear drums may cause others to snicker. One solution is to add fake discs to the rears.

I like the personalized touch. The body kit looks great.

As for FE, you are still doing alright, IMO. If you lose 5mpg, you'd lose it with aftermarket wheels on any car, might as well be a hybrid.

Very nice.

Cheers, nf

Spinner:

I totally understand where you are coming from, and this being my first hybrid, and especially coming off a Dodge Charger R/T, I am starting out in the shallow end instead of diving right into the deep end.

noflash hit the nail on the head with his post, I am sacrificing some MPGs, but at least I am sacrificing them on a hybrid instead of regular car. I do try to drive to increase my MPGs, no more lead foot for me, and I am learning to watch my gauges constantly. I am hoping that maybe when it warms up I may reach the 40 mpg mark, and I will definetely be reading more on how to increase without sacrificing certain things. I still have to read Tarabell's article, but I definitely plan on it.

If you ever want to maximize your FE in the future you still can personalize with smaller and lightweight rims.

One of my fav examples from the past:
