Default Re: New HCHII / Adding Leather Seats

I called Classic Soft Trim in Commerce California and they quoted me $1200 over the phone for leather and vinyl. I may make the trip to San Diego to save some money. I guess the market will bear the higher price up in Los Angeles. There's a dealer for the Katzkin in Paramount.

Anyone know what the difference is with the two companies products?

Thanks,

.

I forgot to say that I was in Chicago. So, I guess the market is different. You can also add heated seats and such while you are at it.

Got my Car back! Love the new leather and tinted windows. Also got the all season floor mats - the regular carpet ones were getting dirty quickly.

Here's the pics:

Showed the dealer manager at Mission Valley Honda when I went to pickup the floormats. He asked where I had it done - that they might be interested in using them, too. Btw, this may sound cheesy, but I can't say enough about how nice those guys are at Mission Valley Honda - It's been a great experience for me, no $5000 over sticker markup there - just paid msrp... My sales person's name was Marie and I would buy from her again. There were two HCH's in San Diego at the time - I went to look at the other one and didnt like it so I called her and she put a sold sign on it and held it for me - thank goodness - 2 people came to look at it while I was on my way and 1 person was looking at it while I was buying it...

Very, very nice. I love how they matched the two tone of the dash with the seats. It looks like they are worth the money if you like leather.

Thanks - they ship all over the world - you can have them installed locally. The guy I talked to was named Harrison.

Those are really good looking seats. Do you have better shots of them. Also, did they do the door panels and armrest since those are fabric from the factory?

Yes, they did the side panels and the arm rest. I also kept my original seat covers if I ever need them again. I am not going to be able to take better photos until probably next weekend - I will have to borrow a better camera and have better lighting. I'll post a few more when I can get the camera...

So do they just put leather on the existing seats?
Do they take your cloth upholstery off and replace it with leather?
Do they sell you a whole new seat, new everything, airbags and all?

If they modify your existing seats how long are you without your car?

Drive a hybrid.
Best tank 71.65 MPG.

Before this car I spent two years learning hypermiling on my 2004 HCH1.

They take the old covers off and replace it with leather on the existing seats. I asked to keep my old covers. You use your own installer. I was without my car for 1 day.
