OK, I admit I'm not bright, because installation of these splash guards should be a piece of cake. And it is! Except for the third screw of the rear guards.

Any suggestions on how to get this third screw in? The tire blocks the use of even my relatively small screwdriver.

For splash guard owners, are they even worth it? I don't like their appearance as much as I thought I would. Plus I'm afraid they'll rub against the paint the way the spoiler does, wearing it down.

Try taking the tire off!

I was going to say exactly what Harold said. Just jack the car up and pop off the tire. It takes about 5 minutes to do. Or get a screwdriver that can turn corners (I got one at the 99 cent store and it really comes in handy for these type of things)

Yeah, I took the tires off too.

P.S. Make sure when you put the tire(s) back on, you torque the nuts to 80 ft lbs. Also, you'll need a torque wrench to do this.

Also, I do think the splash guards are worth having - they do keep the lower part of the car much cleaner.

you just need to get something to hit it from the otherside...a hammer with cloth wrapped around the head of it and give it a slight wack. just get under the car and you will see. i have installed these on all 3 of the civics i purchased.

I didn't even need a hammer to remove the old piece. Like it shows in the installation instructions, I just used a flathead screwdriver to push one edge of the clip in.

For the splash guards, I ended up using this ratcheting offset screwdriver to drive it in. I figure it'll come in handy for other situations as well.
