Default Strength in numbers!

I have a meeting with my Honda District Parts & Service Manager next week. He'll be inspecting my trunk lid where the spoiler has rubbed it to determine the appropriate course of action. My initial contact with him has indicated that he hasn't heard of any problems other than mine, and isn't inclined to do much. SOOO...

For all of you experiencing the issue with your spoilers rubbing the paint off of your trunk lids, please do me a favor and give me a quick overview of your situation. That way I can walk into the meeting with some real information regarding this issue. If you could each write a simple response in the format below, that'd be perfect!

"Jordan in Bloomington, IL is experiencing the spoiler vs. trunk lid issue. I purchased my 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid II at Bill Kay Honda in Bradley, IL. Mine is Magnetic Pearl with Blue Interior and has a build date of May 25th, 2006."

Thanks, everyone! Incidentally, my meeting is next Wednesday, 11/1.

Jordon,

Here's my best plus ....

Can't say I have the problem yet, and can honestly say I hope I don't. But as it is said, "Only time will tell". Suppose the same is true for yourself, so let's hope this won't drag, and yours will become precident for many. Most certainly a glitch Honda needs to own-up-to.

May not help much, and then again, something to help push the envoploe a bit with this bit of info. One of the first things spoken about as I did the site seeing of my new 1:1 toy last Saturday when I picked it up, was this issue. The saleman was quite curious & suprized as to why I was giving the rear deck the strong looking over.

The fella is a very honest sort. He said that he would be letting the powers to be know of this. Also when Honda gave me the post sale questionare call when asked of any problems, I once again threw out the red flag. If he must, have your Honda District Parts & Service Manager do some searching regarding my purchase ( John Fraser thru Burnsville Honda, Burnsville MN. )

.... "Patience is Key".

John
