Question Tire pressure

I was wandering what you guys had your tire pressure (psi) set to? I currently have mine at 32/32. I have stock tires and rims.

I'm not one to go to max sidewall. I do have it a bit higher than stock, but halfway to max...about 38/38.

On my All-season Dunlop tires I have 42 front and 40 rear.
On the winter Michelin I have (for now) 46 front and 44 rear.

Cheers;

I just filled mine today. As it has gotten colder, the tire pressure has dropped to 36-38 in all tires. I filled them back up to 44-42 and now I'm getting 4-6 mpg better. ire pressure seems to make a lot more difference than you might think.

When I fill my tires, I set for 46/46 (slightly above max sidewall) because I have a bad habit of forgetting to check regularly. Elevated pressures will improve mpg and handling (especially in rain), but at the cost of increased road noise and sensitivity to potholes.

You hyper-miler fans should consider Nitrogen inflated tires (if you are really concerned about maximizing your mpgs).

See link: http://www.nitrogendirect.com/N2Info.htm

We have a local tire & service center that offers this service free to their customers. I personally have not taken advantage of this offer... My car haven't required any servicing yet.

In my opinion nitrogen is good if it is free, but I don't think it is worth getting charged for.
