That's below wholesale trade-in on a 2005, and well below the suggested private party value of $28,705!

  This is indirectly from your post. There is no way my loaded, low mileage 2005 Escape Hybrid is worth what you are asking for yours.
2005 AWD Escape Hybrid
Best tank trip MPG 39.02 (scangauge II) for 402 miles on I-70, 10.3 gallons used over mostly flat terrain.
Best tank trip MPG 34.6 for E30 for 271 miles along I-80 in Indiana and Ohio.

Yeah, someone's padding the price by about $10k. My pristine, low mileage 2006 FEH -- loaded w/moonroof and everything, sold for not much more than that NEW.

Check the OP dates. It was for sale in 2006. Not a bad price back then.
Someone keeps pulling up these old threads of vehicles that have been sold anywhere from 6 months to a year and half ago....
