Thumbs up Plug-In Hybrid Wannabe bumper stickers

Hi,

I've just created some bumper stickers to promote Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles, (PHEVs), with the profits going to CalCars, (calcars.org), the non-profit established to promote these types of vehicles.

http://www.cafepress.com/pluginwannabe

As bumper stickers go, I think you will find these to be both humorous and tasteful. Essentially they personify the vehicle, portraying it as wanting to become a plug-in hybrid when it grows up in a variety of languages. The stickers also reference a wiki, (http://phev.wikispaces.com/), where Plug-In Wannabes are invited to register and post a picture of themselves, (optionally, with their owner).

The promotional aspect, (beyond the money contributed to CalCars), comes with the links to various websites about plug-in hybrids, so those who may have become interested in the subject based on the bumper sticker may learn more about them.

So please check it out and join with me in helping to promote the benefits of PHEVs.

Thanks, Matt

FYI - the wiki has moved to http://pluginwannabe.org , (which redirects to: http://www.eaa-phev.org/wiki/PlugInWannabe ). It now lists several other ways in which you can help promote the adoption of plug-in hybrids, and includes links to numerous videos on the topic for those of you who would like to learn more about it.

BTW, here's an example of one of the bumper stickers, which have been customized for various vehicle types and languages.

So...when is the Honda hybrid system going plug-in? Anyone? The Prius is hands-down the best candidate for further electric propulsion plans. And if you have the $$$, you can have that plug-in Prius today!

I've no bias against Civic Hybrids. Even though their current design doesn't lend to plug-in conversion, I imagine some of their owners may be plug-in wannabes. So I've designed several versions for the Civic which you can find here: http://www.cafepress.com/pluginwannabe/4072894

Cool, thanks Ryan. Be sure to join the Frappr map and to post a profile if you're inclined. The former includes a white Civic from Solana Beach CA owned by a Colby.

If you're interested in what Honda thinks about plug-ins, try checking out the following:
http://www.calcars.org/carmakers.html#hondaquotes
It includes a link to a recent WSJ article.
