We just bought an 07 Prius, base model. OTD price was about $25,000. Not bad.

We thought about getting a VUE, (it made our initial list for review and possible purchase), but were concerned about two things:

1. GM's reliability is spotty. Does this apply to the VUE and subsequently to the VUE hybrid? (Toyota's reliability and the reliability of the Prius is well known.)

2. MPG rating for the VUE was nothing to write home about.


Can anyone speak to the reliability of the VUE and speculate on the related reliability of the VUE hybrid?

I am considering getting one for myself next year, which is why I ask.

If you are not in a big hurry, I would suggest waiting until the 2008 VUE hybrids come out. GM did a major redesign for 2008.

i like saturn i've had a couple of them. i would trust just about anything they make, their service here is great!

I agree with Morgan. I've had two Saturns, and their service was always quite good.

Saturn is suppose to be one of the more reliable brands that GM has, but quality stll isn't a main priority.
