Question MD HOV Lanes

Does anyone the status of allowing Hybrids in the HOV lanes in MD? In the past there has been some discussion about it, but as far as I know nothing has materialized.

Specifically, it seems the long stretch on Route 50 that goes from the Capital Beltway to Davidsonville, MD that allows motorcycles should also allow Hybrids.

I wish they allowed hybrids. I bet it won't change, however. Have not heard anything otherwise.

Well for the Federal government, that is certainly a nice clear answer.
