Anybody ever try using an engine block heater with their NAH to get the engine to temperature faster and improve FE? This may also allow earlier use of EV mode.

Please let me know if you have any insight as to what type is best for our car.

Not a block heater but an oil heater - a lot cheaper and easier to install.

Hello all,

I ended up buying the Nissan OEM engine block heater and having it installed (in a frost plug) last week. With 2-3 hours of "on time" I am seeing a temp of about 100F.

Does anyone else have one of these installed? Are you able to get the temp higher than that with more time? Would be great to get it over 131F so I can get right into EV mode...
