Just registered on the forum and wanted to say hi...
I have been reading these boards for sometime now and finally decided to jump on the Green Wagon. Just test drove my very first hybrid car and was totally amazed with the experience.We have pretty much decided to purchase the 2008 NAH and are just working out some minor details...the color and a few quotes.
My wife wants the Pebble Beach so they are trying to find one.We opted for the Convenience Pkg and hopefully we can have it wrapped up in a few days.I have a few questions on the extended warranty. Do I really need this coverage? Can this warranty be purchased after the sale,from the Internet,etc? I know that Dealers Warranty are usually pretty high and this is another way to make some extra profit. What is the ball park figure that I should consider? I will be taking delivery in Albany NY.Any help will be greatly appreciated.

We got the Pebble Beach too.

We got the 100,000 mile extended warranty after much discussion. Our concern was the car is new... and nobody really knew yet how it would perform. We are about a year into owning it now with no problems.

I have no clue what we paid.

Old thread, yes, I know. Just wanted to add that we bought the extended warranty for the same reasons (new product, etc). 5/105,000 cost us just around $1K.

Car was purchased 9/1/2005 and we currently have 76,000 miles on it.
