Default Just advice on Oil change.

I am a new owner of the NAH and I noticed that Nissan recommends 0-W20 oil. I looked at a few sights and noticed that it is not that common and many dealers don't carry it. So I asked my Nissan dealer what oil he uses in the Nissan. They said 0W-40, He said that is what Nissan recommends. I told him not in either 2007 or 2008 manual does it state that. I asked could he get the 0W-20 when I need an oil change. He said yes but give him a week's notice to track it down.

Have any of you heard of it or asked your dealer what he uses?

0W-40 isn't what Nissan recommends. They recommend 0W-20 with 5W-20 and 5W-30 being acceptable substitutes.

I use Pennzoil 0W-20 that I buy online from oil-store.com.

Even with S&H it's about $5.60 a quart.

Yes Lloyd, my point was that NAH owners shouldn't assume that a dealer or an oil change place will stock and use the correct oil. If you want the 0W020, you should ask in advance or buy it on your own.
