Well the animal in me felt the need to go back to the days when I was driving a sports car, so I hooked up my old GTech Pro RR, went to my favorite stretch of road, and punched it...
0-60mph: 6.77s
0-100mph: 17.63s
and now for the best part,
all that at an average of... 11.3 mpg
LOL!
yes, yes, I do feel guilty and I will be making it up to my mpgs by driving extra efficient for the next month or so...
I have never had any car up to 100 miles per hour, but even under normal driving there are times when you need to pass or maneuver, where those extra horses really are nice to have.

Was this from a standing stop? Those are much better 0-60 numbers than anything published. I did drive mine 100mph a few weeks ago. Got a call my daughter was being taken to the hospital. There is no problem with high end speed with this car. My daughter is fine BTW.

As for the test, yes, from standing still with the battery meter on full (not the case after the test), and a slightly downhill road, though I can't imagine those factors making a .8 second difference. On the other hand the gtech pro rr has been pretty darn good in the past (only a tenth of a second off measured against the time slip from a dragstrip.)
The 0-100 time is not that far off from what edmunds tested, but I do agree with you that my 0-60 looks to be faster than it should.
Glad to hear that your daughter is ok! Also good that you didn't get a ticket.
