Pros: I like the way it drives, both handling and acceleration. I'm happy with the balance between performance and mileage (I'd love to have a car that does 0-60 in 4 seconds and gets 100MPG - but for current tech, the Altima is a good compromise). I like the instruments and controls (even though mine is just the base model). I'm glad to have all the safety features (ABS, traction control, stability control, full suite of airbags). Mine is well put together, no problems with fit or finish.

Cons: Small trunk. Price on options packages is wildly inflated, in my opinion (but then, I think that about most of the competitors too).

There is actually a comical aspect of this. We actually got our car with two option packages... not one. We paid for one that was about $1,200... and I can't for the life of me remember what it is... but then when we go home we found the "package" information for the other one we got... and a listing of all the stuff it contained... and a MSRP for it of about $1,800... and we realized it was such an over inflated joke that it pretty much came with ALL the cars and it was used by the dealers as an incentive i.e., "And I'll throw in this package FREE!" The problem was they'd used the scam for so long and it was on all the cars... to the point the dealers had actually started to forget it was there.

It was really dumb stuff too... I can't remember what... but it was in league with windshield wiper blades and floor mats.
