Default What is the stubby antenna for?

I have a standard AM/FM/CD audio system. I thought the antenna was built into the rear glass like 2.5 and 3.5 models. Am I wrong?

Apparently the hybrid electrical system puts out too much interference to use the "standard" antennas found on the regular Altima's, or so I was told when I asked about it. I put "standard" in quotes because the hybrids actually have a more common type of antenna.

Thanks. That makes sense... I guess antenna and badges are the only things that set us apart from standard altimas.
