Has anyone tried Mobil 1 fully synthetic with their hybrid truck, I am debating on whether or not to use 0W-30 or 5W-30 Mobil 1 fully synthetic?
I heard you might be able to squeeze a little more mpg with the 0W-30.
After researching, I went to wal-mart & the 0w-30 m1 is the same price & on the bottle it says that it has better cold starting protection & here in northern texas the temps are below freezing at night & early morning. I will update when I do the change & whether or not I notice anything especially in mpg increases.
I have used 5w/30 mobil 1 extended performance since break-in oil and noticed a longer intervals of at least 10k miles in between oil changes and it still has a lot of base stock oil after 10k miles as per my blackstone tests. it has also been certified as a dexos 1 oil. it is oem requirement for my escalade hybrid.

oil is one of the cheapest investments you can make in car maint. I change mine every 3k ( a bit obsessive i know) also I change ALL fluids in all my cars regardless of mileage every 2 years. (typically 20k miles for an 2 year period) I took the 08 yukon in last year and they told me I was being excessive but it really pays you back. I do EVERY liquid inc. brake fluid, PS fluid, trans, diff, oil antifreeze....basically everything liquid. Brake fluid is hydro-scopic IOW it absorbs moisture naturally so after 2 years I figure it needs a change.

that is why I am using the 5w/30 mobil 1 extended performance(fully synthetic) and use the MM to change oil.
