Angry Dinghy Towing a 2009 Tahoe Hybrid

Bought a new tahoe and dealer said it could be Dinghy towed. He Copied a paragraph out of the owners manual and it said to put trafer case in N . Ok, no problem. Got home read the manual and found the same thing.
2 Months later, We went to hook up today and the 2009 Tahoe Hybrid has no N (nuetral) on the rotary *** as operators manual says.. Does anyone know if it can be towed by putting just transmission in nuetral. Or if there is a way to put transfer in nuetral

first of all whats a dinghy. to put it in neutral, the key must be in the ON position, put the gear selector in N neutral then turn tb the **** from auto 4hi 4lo then neutral until the neutral flashes.

They call it Dinghy or Toad pulling when you pull a vehicle behind a motorhome. I have tryed putting trans. in N and turning the Tranfercase **** though the gears 2H,Auto,4H,4Land then holding it to the spring loaded section but nothing Happens and there is no green Light.
Guess there is no N in transfer case so I and the Dealer are going to have an Big aurgument.

i did not think it did have N until i saw an unlighted N. followed the manual of putting the gear shift lever to N from P , then change the **** from auto to 4 hi then 4lo then turn and hold it clockwise. the N will not flash yet until you hold it for a few seconds then the N lights up. you should not be in an incline or the car will roll. reminder also to note that the key has to in the ON position. try it, that how I did mine and the OM details the steps well.

Note that when shifting back from (transfer case) neutral, if the transmission is out of Park and the vehicle propulsion systm is active (running) the output shaft may be spinning faster than the transfer case can re-engage.

Just like a "normal" non hybrid if idling and youshift out of park while in T case neutral. It will be hard to get back in to 2 or 4 until all the parts stop spinning.

i just checked the OM and it says the transaxle **** should be turned counterclockwise to the 2wd mode then turned all the way to 4lo and hold it until the N button blinks. that is with the key in ON and tbe gear lever in N. hope that helps.
