Purchase advice

Re: Purchase advice
One huge gripe about this car is no proximity sensor/push start. For my Z (also a GM product): I keep the FOB in my pocket, door unlocks as I walk up to it, FOB stays in my pocket as I push the start button. This would've been a great feature to add to such an amazing automobile (so far/fingers crossed)

Re: Purchase advice
I guess they make aftermarket keyless entry/push start/FOB systems... I'll probably end up going that route soon.

Re: Purchase advice
but it has to be a separate system that will only be a keyless entry. but if you add push start, I don't think it is feasible or even advisable as the hybrid doesn't have a starter but the uses the tranny CVT motor to start the engine and then goes back to auto-stop. will the system recognize it as engine off?

Re: Purchase advice
stealth fighter jet have a matte finish and flies low to avoid radar. my escalade on the other hand is black with a radar detector from V1 with VG2 technology meaning its presence cannot be detected.

Re: Purchase advice
The vehicle will start in gas mode until all equipment (ie fluids) are up to operating temps, then the engine will shut off and operate in battery mode. this switch occurs in warm temps sooner then when winter driving. I note that my engine will run more when over 90 degrees outside, more battery draw with the electric fans.
