sorry not Alenzas. It was the Bridgestone Dueller, the tires that came with the truck new.

Always kept them at 36 psi rotated every 4K and they wore out very quickly. they were at 1/16" at 26,000 miles

Ive heard the Alenzas are much better than the Duellers but now Im onto Michelins since Bridgestone didnt stand behind the issue.

Still not sure why I only got 43K out of the Michelins, too. Its a big 18" wheel, and the tahoe has about 5% weight in the rear but it wears them all out quickly. Tracks straight and true to 90 mph, no shakes, rotated every oil change. Maybe its just my truck ...

When it costs close to a grand to replace the tires, it gets to be a complicated equation when you start to factor in the cost of the tire and the lifetime of the tire with the actual MPGs sustained with the tire with the current price of gas.

I certainly got it wrong this go-round both buying expensive tires and seeing decreased MPG. My only hope is the tires last somewhere close to their 70k advertised miles - but I have serious doubts they will.

After years of running high quality tires on my Taurus and not having them last very long I finally decided to just put el cheapo hard rubber winter tires on and run them year round. The things have lasted forever and show almost no signs of wear. Even if running winter tires in the summer costs a couple of MPG, I think the overall cost equation still comes out in my favour.

Save the planet or save your wallet? or put the decision behind you and save your sanity!

Great commants...I waited till my Gass needed to be filled which h was today and now I'm I flat g my tires to 37 to see if it brings the mpg back up other then that I'll try ur thinking but I watch the mpg closely so I'll always be thinking of the tires being the culprit...by the way they really do have a decant ride.hard to.compare because the other tires were almost bald ...

I have only good things to say about the Bridgestone dueler H/L Alenza. I used it to my +1 honda pilot tire and also to my escalade hybrid. Both vehicles got >70k miles out of it. If it only makes a size for my new range rover I would use it when my Oem tires wear off but unfortunately it doesn't make a size for the range rover and it doesn't have the 155 mph top speed rating.
