Much better. As for the problem with the status bar, why don't you just lower the window so the status bar is under the windows menu bar or scrolled off the screen?

I'm OCD when it comes to windows. I have Trillian chat program docked on the right and Firefox maximized next to it. Firefox creates a new tab for each site, so I only have one Firefox window. The status bar stays put.

take a few sticky notes and cover the status bar. An alternate method would be take some tape and cover the status bar and use a sharpie marker to black out the tape where the status bar is

It's not working correctly for me in MacOS X either. I get a screen, then type something, and another screen opens and I see other people's conversations, and I cannot join them.

Well, I didn't build the chat software, but I'll look into it.
