Ah, Yep. Sorry, I did'nt see your post! The only thing I would say to add is the ability to link to the photos within messages on other threads.

I like coz6 suggestion of a WAP gateway as well.

Hey, I notice some other vb boards have a reputation system. How about that.

I can enable the reputation system with the current software. The hard part would be setting it up so that people actually know what it is and how to use it. Perhaps I'll look into that soon.

Thanks for the great suggetions. Keep them coming! I do need to mention, however, that gbl102's image gallery idea is pretty much a catch-all for any such system. Unless you can come up with an idea that's much different than that, it'll have to count as gbl's entry.

Lightbulb The Hybrid Games

You could do games, like award users points (Who's line is it anyway style) for various tasks (funny or not) like:

Best decorated holiday Hybrid

Best gas milage on a single tank

Best pick-up line referencing your Hybrid

ect.

New tasks each week to keep things interesting and a running total or leader board of user points to show who is in the lead.

Set it up so that registered users could suggest new tasks and vote once on the current entries.

How about a section to organize people to convince the gov't to extend/improve the hybrid tax incentive? Something like a place to sign petitions, email reps, etc. This could be adapted to inspire political action on a variety of topics.

How about a place to calculate how much environmental benefit has been gained from your particular hybrid?

How about an interactive game to help newbies learn to drive their hybrids? They could pick their model, then the Macromedia (or whatever) could show a cockpit and allow the player to "drive." The simulation could illustrate the tradeoffs associated with different driving styles, different fuels (ethanol), weather, etc.

How about organizing a group discount for insurance, or other things?

The Red section should be used as a Interstate construction zone warning forum. For instance. On I-75 in TN at the 142 mile post or so, the roadway has essentially collapsed down the side of the mountain causing southbound traffic to be routed to the northbound side and constricted to one lane. Backups have been well over ten miles at times lasting as long as four hours. ( News caster hype probably). With summer travelling coming up, forumites could find information on possible backups and suggested bypasses. This could save hypermilers precious drops of fuel as well as time.

Jeff

BTW, great sight. Wish I had stumbled onto it sooner.
