I was thinking about buying Honda Insight 2010 (Prius in Canada is overpriced $38K+ not to mention they have a bunch of user complains about unintended accelerations, so Prius is not an option at this moment).
I decided not to purchase Honda Inside :-/ I did not even test it.
I was testing Honda Civic Hybrid and the ride was very rough and noisy and according to the salesman the Honda Inside has less room inside and is noisier so I did not even try to test it.
I look at used Volvo V40 and the ride and noise inside was like a Cadillac in comparison to Civic Hybrid.
If you want a quick , responsive, fun car that gets 45-50 MPG and is extremely reliable, try the Insight.
Try a different salesman too, it sounds like he was trying to "push" you into the Civic.
I did not test drive the Honda Inside but I was seating on the rear seat and my had is hitting the roof so this alone disqualify the Inside :-/
In addition, I've read in few places that Inside is noisier then Civic so I took the sales-rep word for granted.
